What makes the Duo interesting?
1. Huge 7.6-inch screen
Open it and you essentially have a small tablet-sized iPhone. Apple says the inner display is 50% larger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
2. Two-screen experience
You can use it closed like a conventional phone or open it for side-by-side multitasking, larger viewing and gaming. iOS 27 has been redesigned specifically for the foldable format.
3. Creative camera features
The foldable design enables features such as Duo Preview, which lets subjects see the camera preview on the outer display, and Smart Take, which can automatically capture a photo when people are ready.
4. Dual Capture
The Duo can simultaneously use front and rear camera feeds in supported FaceTime experiences, opening up interesting possibilities for creators and video calls.
5. Flexible positions
You can use it open, closed, partially folded or standing, including hands-free viewing and FaceTime.
6. A20 Pro performance
Apple says the A20 Pro uses a 2nm process, with a new thermal-management system and vapor chamber designed to maintain performance during demanding tasks such as gaming and AI workloads.
7. Apple Pencil support
Apple says USB-C Apple Pencil support is coming later in 2026, allowing notes, sketches and document markup on either display.
